Learn What You Need

An acoustic guitarist doesn't need to spend $40,000 on a recording degree to learn to record their instrument.

An acoustic guitarist does not need to know how to mic a piano or a drum kit.

An acoustic guitarist needs to know which mics are appropriate, where to place them, how to record, how process the audio - and that's about it.

The rest is music.

Meet Your Instructor

Hi - I'm Joe Robinson and like many of you... I struggled to create great sounding recordings of my instrument.

It sounded too boomy or thin - my recordings didn't have that quality that i wanted.

I would hire engineers (which I encourage you to do), go into a great studio and not be totally satisfied with the result.  I spent a lot of money doing this and I learned the value of being able to create recordings in my own studio, on my own schedule at no cost.

There is nothing that can replace working with a world class recording engineer, but getting to a level with your playing where you can make the most of that experience takes a long time and lots of practice recording yourself.

In this course you will learn how professional engineers capture the sound of an Acoustic Guitar. You will learn to hear the difference between types of mics, preamps, plugins and more.

Save yourself the headache I went through trying to figure out how to create quality recordings of my instrument. This course is the resource I wish I had 15 years ago.
